Abstract:
Numerical reservoir simulation plays a major role in managing gigantic oil and gas reservoirs in the Middle East. This talk will cover discussion of fundamental equations of multiphase, multi component oil and gas flow through porous media and associated production pipe networks.
Numerical reservoir simulation plays a major role in managing gigantic oil and gas reservoirs in the Middle East. This talk will cover discussion of fundamental equations of multiphase, multi component oil and gas flow through porous media and associated production pipe networks.
Selected space and time discretization and solution of set of coupled nonlinear equations will be presented. Case studies involving simultaneous solution of billions of equations on parallel computers and the scalability will be discussed. Dynamic visualization very large reservoir simulation models will be addressed.
