  • MSES is a numerical development system for low speed and transonic single-element and multi-element airfoils, for a very wide range of Reynolds numbers. It includes multi-point optimization capability. It is licensed for commercial use by the TLO.
  • MTFLOW is a numerical development system for low speed and transonic ducted fans and turbines, and for axisymmetric external aerodynamic flows. It is licensed for commercial use by the TLO.
  • QPROP is a program for script-driven design and analysis of propellers and windmills, and matching them with motors and generators. It is public.
  • TASOPT is a program for conceptual sizing and optimization of wing-and-tube transport aircraft. It is public, although it's currently still in development.
  • XFOIL is a program for interactive design and analysis of subsonic isolated single-element airfoils, for a very wide range of Reynolds numbers of 10^3 to 10^9. It is public.
  • XROTOR is a program for interactive design and analysis of propellers and windmills. It is public.
  • Project X is a higher-order accurate, unstructured grid method for solving convection-dominated flows, in particular the compressible Euler and Navier-Stokes equations.
  • MUQ (MIT Uncertainty Quantification) is a C++ and Python framework for performing uncertainty quantification with complex computational models, and for developing new algorithms that exploit model structure. It contains a range of algorithms for Bayesian inference, Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC), uncertainty propagation, surrogate building, optimization, and sensitivity analysis, and for integrating these algorithms with ODE- and PDE-based computational models. It is distributed under a BSD license.
